Mr.
Andrew Cronin attended Cardiff University completing
his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1985 followed by Bachelor of
Medicine in 1992.
He subsequently spent 2 years in
various medical and surgical rotations including trauma,
orthopaedics and general surgery before entering formal
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Training based in the
South Coast of England.
During Mr. Cronins 5 year sub
speciality training he gained experience in all aspects of
Maxillofacial Surgery including dentoalveolar, TMJ,
Salivary Gland, Oral Medicine, Facial Deformity, Cancer
and Microvascular reconstruction. As a Consultant at
the Univeristy Hospital of Wales
Mr. Cronin remains closely involved with both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and
holds a Honorary University lecturer position. He has
been an invited speaker in various international
conferences both in the United Kingdom and abroad and
has published several acedemic papers related to Craniofacial, Plastic
and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Mr. Cronin
holds sveeral surgical fellowships from the Royal College of
Surgeons of England and Ireland, both in Dental Surgery
(FDSRCS) , General Surgery (FRCS) and Maxillofacial
Surgery (FFDRCSI, FRCS OMS), and is a member of the British
Medical Association, British Association of Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgeons and the
European Association
of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons.
